The “Islands” were established in 1999 and built by a man with a vision to bring a unique venue to Northern Colorado. Today known as NOCO Islands, the event venue has evolved into one of the best-kept secrets in the area for corporate outings, wedding and reception spots, family or class reunions, birthday parties, and other events. The beautifully designed and very private “Islands” have become a favorite place to many companies and families in Colorado wanting to escape each summer for a few hours and enjoy the recreation and amenities that the venue boasts.
Venue rental typically runs from the end of May through the middle of September, weather permitting. NOCO Islands consists of two “Islands” that can be rented together or separate depending on the number of guests with the event. The largest of the two, or the Big Island, can be rented entirely or by the side. The West Side or the East Side of the Big Island are each their own contained island destination. The smaller island is named Li’iLi’i. It was completed several years following the opening of the Big Island and seems to have its own personality.
The three Island Destinations available to rent are Li’iLi’i Island, the Big Island’s West Side, or the Big Island’s East Side. Clients can also book the entire Big Island (two Island Destinations) or three Island Destinations which would be the use of the Big Island and Li’iLi’i Island. **See Rental Rates page. The Big Island’s West Side, the Big Island’s East Side, and Li’iLi’i Island all have the same availability of amenities as far as each one has its own swim beach and or docks, water trampoline, canoes and pedal boats, sand volleyball court, fire pit, horseshoe pit, PFD’s, Kitchen area with serving tables, counter space, and refrigerator space, beverage bar area, picnic tables with umbrellas, lounge chairs and full service (remodeled) men’s and women’s bathrooms. Even though each destination boasts its own area, all three have their own unique and creative style with differences in layout and color schemes. Some returning clients have their “favorite” and look forward to that familiarity each year. Other clients choose a different destination every time they book. New clients and brides are surprised by the allure of the Islands and their beauty. One bride commented by saying “I need to find a reason to be back here every summer!”
In 2017, The “Islands” underwent big renovations and upgrades making it better than ever! Each destination is more inviting and exciting adding uniqueness to each area. NOCO Islands also implemented brand new Sweetwater Pontoon Boats, from Island Lake Marine & Sports. The shuttle to and from the Islands is definitely “first class”! The NOCO Islands staff/boat captains are expected to be knowledgeable, courteous, and capable in all aspects of “Island life”. Clients will rest assured that their event will not only be fun, but safe and professionally run.
