Description
1996 Sea-Doo Speedster | Twin Rotax 717 Engines | Classic Jet Boat Fun
Looking for a fun, affordable way to get on the water? The 1996 Sea-Doo Speedster is a classic twin-engine jet boat that brings personal watercraft thrills to a sport boat you can share with friends. Quick, nimble and a blast to drive, it’s a perfect entry into boating or a fun second boat for the lake.
Twin-Engine Jet Power
The Speedster runs twin Rotax 717cc two-stroke engines rated at 85 HP each, for about 170 HP total in a lightweight 15-foot hull. That combination makes for snappy acceleration and tight, responsive handling that feels a lot like a PWC. It’s a thrill to drive and one of the most fun boats from its era.
Jet Drive Advantages
With no exposed propeller, the jet drive is a great fit for shallow water, swimming and beach days. The Speedster can pull up close to shore and is easier on kids and swimmers around the back of the boat.
Easy to Own
At around 1,380 lb, the Speedster is light enough to tow with most vehicles and easy to launch, retrieve and store. It’s a simple, budget-friendly way to enjoy summers on the water without the cost of a bigger boat.
